I’m not going to be blogging about every single day – don’t worry. Today was the first day for JM and I on our two week trip. It was eye-opening for sure. I took him around North Mountain and showed him many of the classics he’d be interested in. He was blown away at the martini cave (and so am I every time I see it).

We didn’t climb too much – basically just did some very easy stuff. My crimp strength is 0. It’s almost laughable. Hopefully I build some after a few days. JM will do really well this trip. He already did all the moves except the dyno on Diaphanous Sea V11/12. Once he gets the dyno I hope he can string it all together.

I tried a few times on Chbalanke V11/12 and it seems super hard. The crux for me is grabbing this glassy tiny pinch and trying to hold on for more than one second. I think I held on for 1.1 seconds one time. Maaan.

Either way, Hueco is beautiful. The burritos are good. The Vista Market is cheap. The people from Colorado are here… I’m ready to send.
